The fitness industry is experiencing solid growth. The requirements for personal trainers are becoming increasingly complex and challenging, reflected in the increased demands in terms of education and competence. The authors have several years of work experience in the fitness industry, performance psychology, guidance, and coaching.

Atle Arntzen Rolf Haugen Frank Eirik Abrahamsen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sport and Social Sciences at Norwegian School of Sport Science (NIH) in Oslo, Norway. He has worked with international level athletes in more than 40 sports; including four Olypics, four Paralympic Games, and the national male soccer team. Interested in the development of environments that foster development, wellbeing, and best performance at all levels; applied and research wise.
