Synopsis
A Personal Walk is a book about creating a personal relationship with Christ. The book explores each step using the journey of a man who was born in a middle-class home with trappings of success, graduated from the Naval Academy, traveled the world as a Naval Officer and was seemingly successful in his own right, yet a man who was spiritually lost. Through the use of the steps this man found a personal relationship with Christ was healed and overcame divorce, alcoholism and loss of career, and an ego that often got in his way. A Personal Walk with Christ is a simple method of utilizing 10 principles to establish a relationship with Christ. Developing a relationship with Christ comes from knowing what God's Vision is for your life, believing in him, gaining knowledge of the Word of God to guide your steps, obtaining confidence from the Word and the ability to focus on Christ, while energetically and enthusiastically living a life pleasing to Christ. As a Christian, speaking to and hearing Christ is the cornerstone of developing a relationship with him and ultimately striving to be and act in a manner that emulates Christ's love for each of us. About the Author
Joseph E. Hines, Ph.D. is the President and CEO of Success Business Inc. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, received a Masters of Science in Business from the Naval Post Graduate School and holds a doctorate in Business Administration form California Pacific University. Dr. Hines is a leadership expert with over twenty years of experience in leading and guiding young men and women in the United States Navy. He is an Author, Inspirational Speaker, Executive Coach and faculty member with the University of Phoenix and Graduated School USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture). Dr. Hines has a passion for youth and is the co-founder of the Coppin Academy Youth Mentoring and Coaching Program. Dr. Hines serves his faith and the community as a Deacon at Celebration Church at Columbia, a member of the Columbia Town Center Rotary Club and a graduate of Leadership Howard County Class of 2008. He is married to Cheryl Gray Hines and has two lovely daughters Shannon 17 and Alessandra 10. Dr. Hines has won several awards including the Meritorious Service Medal (2005) Navy Marine Corp Commendation Medal (1994, 96, 98, 2001, 2003) Navy Marine Corp Accomplishment Medal (1989, 1995) Dr. Hines' latest literary work A Personal Walk is coming to bookstores soon.
