Presumed first with no additional printings listed, hardcover, has a slight skew to the binding, bumps to the spine ends and cover corners with the boards starting through at the lower corners, a few faint spots of soiling to the spine and cover edges, and a previous owner's name and date (1931) penned to the front fly leaf. Overall, a solid, bright, Near Very Good copy in a Good only dust jacket, which has short chips to the spine ends and corners, creased tears across the tail of the front with lighter wear to the other edges, rubbing with areas of light soiling to the covers and spine, and a small, fading "1817" stamped at the tail of the spine. The jacket is wrapped in Mylar.
