This is the special limited edition published, in 1993, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the perennial children's classic. Complete with all facsimiles to include: a copy of the letter to "Master Noel Moore" in which the story made its first appearance; the first privately published edition with monochrome pictures; the original deluxe edition published by Frederick Warne in 1902. Accompanying the facsimiles is an illustrated booklet outlining the history of the publication together with a gilt printed tissue that serves to protect the limitation sheet tipped on to the inside of the clam shell box. Numbered 538 of an edition of 750 copies and in very good to fine condition throughout with original white card slipcase.
