About the Author

Marnix Wells graduated from Oxford University with a B. A. in Classical Chinese in 1967, then worked in shipping management for 25 years. In 2001, he earned his Ph. D. in Chinese Chinese philosophy at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. In 2005, he published Scholar Boxer on the theory and evolution of Taiji quan.
