Last seen at auction in 1984.An interesting treatise, in which the author, John Lingard, explores timber and particularly dry rot.With sections in the causes and origin of dry rot, how to season timber, how to preserve timber, and more.John Lingard, of Pentonville, was an expert in the field of dry rot. He worked with the cartographer Richard Holmes Laurie to produced a detailed map of London. Rebound in a modern cloth binding, with renewed endpapers. Externally, smart. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned and clean, with a couple of spots. Near Fine.
