Philosophical Investigations

About this Item

1967 Printing of the Second Edition. Features parallel German text and English translation on facing pages, translated by G.E.M. Anscombe. Hardcover cloth binding in original publisher's dust jacket.

Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. The original paper dust wrapper is present but shows vintage wear, including [Pick one: light chipping and a few closed tears along the edges/corners OR a one-inch tear at the base of the spine block and light shelf toning]. The jacket remains unclipped and unbacked, preserving the book's authentic mid-century aesthetic.

Book Condition: Very Good Minus. Bound in original publisher's cloth boards. Cloth remains clean and flat beneath the jacket, with minor expected rubbing to the spine ends. The binding is tight, straight, and square.

Internal Pages: Text block is exceptionally crisp. Interior features sparse, slight pencil underwriting from previous coursework study on a few pages. The parallel printed text remains entirely clear and undisturbed. Not an ex-library copy. A highly solid, presentable reference copy of Wittgenstein's essential ordinary language framework.
