A scarce early American issue of one of Dick's most influential works intersecting religion and science. This copy snugly bound and complete with original endpages sound and intact. Cloth chipped at crown of spine and rubbed at tips and edges. 1835 gift inscription from a Morrison to a JD McCutch[e]on. Text unmarked with some light to moderate foxing scattered throughout. A simple hand-numbered, private library call label mid spine; this copy at one time in the library of the defunct, much-noted Mountain Springs Hotel (in Ephrata, PA) -a gathering place for adherents of Spiritism, Theosophy and metaphysics. Early American issue in original binding. G++ to VG-.
