The Phoenix Effect Part 3: Pursuing Echoes

The Embers of Hope Remain

The Resistors are at war. With their future hanging by a thread, Lia and the Resistance Army fight desperately to secure land, leadership, and freedom from Unity rule. But their struggle becomes even more perilous when Roland's most ruthless adversary, Martrim, takes command of the Unity forces. Pushed deeper into the Unclaimed Territories, the Resistors soon discover factions that refuse to take a side. The reason for their hesitation? A ghost from the past-Arin is alive.

Spreading the truth about the formula that runs through their blood, Arin has become a force of his own, shaking the foundation of everything Lia believed. Someone in her inner circle hid his survival from her, and now she must uncover the truth. But Arin has his own agenda, and his plans may put Lia directly in harm's way.

As the war rages, the Resistors are tested like never before-battling their way through treacherous mountains, ruined cities crawling with Scavs, and the wreckage of their own histories. And all the while, Martrim's brutal strategy keeps the future they fight for just out of reach.

But when Arin finally steps into their path, he is no longer just an ally or a memory-he is a power unto himself. Will he stand with them in their battle for freedom? Or has the war already made him into another enemy?
