About the Author

Heather A. Kenny and Laura A Robbins are both teachers with several years of primary teaching experience. They are co-founders of KinderPlus+, and educational consulting company based in Burlington, Ontario. Laura is currently completing her master's degree in education, specializing in literacy, while she and Heather offer early literacy seminars and workshops for parents and teachers throughout Ontario. Heather and Laura co-wrote balanced literacy curriculum for the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board in Ontario. They have both been extensively involved in the professional development of teachers: Heather has acted as a teacher-trainer for Dufferin-Peel and Laura has served as an adjunct professor for York University.
