Phonics Comics: Alien Alert

Uses a comic book format to present three phonics-based stories featuring a band of alien musicians in search of new sounds, a missing robot, and a boy who discovers his hidden identity.

Grade 3-4–In the first book, an alien band steals household items such as staplers and toilets to make music, Brad's robot is mistaken for an alien's long-lost brother, and Dirk believes that his baby brother is an alien. In Monster Madness, camp counselors scare one another with monster stories while the children giggle along, a monster takes over Sam's bedroom, and Max battles a monster dust ball that taunts him while he tries to clean his room. With three silly stories per book, just the right amount of humor, and colorful cartoons, these paperback titles will appeal to comics lovers.
