[Photo Album]: Photographs of Life at Georgetown University, 1975-1980

Quarto. Red faux leather boards. Contains 55 full color photographs measuring 3.5" x 3.5" to 7" x 5" from 1975-1980 . A light amount of edgewear and rubbing else near fine with fine photographs. A photo album filled with photos of Michael Cunningham’s life during his time at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and the years to follow. Also included are several newspaper article clippings relating to Cunningham’s success as a wrestler in high school and one article about his mother and father’s wedding. The first couple photos show Cunningham during his final year of high school posing with his parents and typing on a typewriter. Most of the photos after show him during his time at Georgetown University with shaggy hair and a full beard. Several pictures show the tall churches and student parking lots that filled the view from outside of Henle Student Village where Cunningham’s dorm room was located. One photo shows Cunningham dancing with his later wife Rachel Grant. These photos feature only smiles and the happiness that Cunningham had during his collegiate years. The photos of Cunningham at his graduation show him wearing a cap and gown and also crutches and a leg cast. Even with the cast, Cunningham has a smile in every photo. Cunningham went on to earn a law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. He spent three years in private practice and in 1987, he started his career with the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. He became the Monmouth County deputy first assistant prosecutor and served for 25 years before passing away two months before his retirement at age 53.
