In order to maintain the overall objective of the Photogrammetric Week the 47th event continues with the presentation and discussion of three actual topics in photogrammetry and geographic information systems (GIS). This year´s event especially focused on virtual landscapes and cities, photogrammetric products demanded by the daily usage of the internet.
This book contains papers presented at the 47th Photogrammetric Week in Stuttgart, 20.-24. September 1999. In continuation of the concentration on three special topics this year the following areas of interest were deepened: state-of-the-art of digital data collection; towards full automation in photogrammetric restitution; 3D city models: generation and application.
