Stated 1911 Semi-Centennial Memorial Edition. As shown in the photographs, this book has the patriotic themed Semi-Centennial Memorial additional title page bound into the book. Tight hardcover in good condition. 4to. 337pp. Blue cloth boards with incised crossed laurel wreathes & union and confederate flags on the front board and bright gold lettering & designs on the backstrip. The endpapers have blue triangular illustrations of the Capitol Building with laurel framed blue oval illustrations of Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, and Abraham Lincoln in the center. The pages are made of heavy matte coded stock. The top of the pages are gilded. Numerous black & white photographs throughout the text as well as black & white fancy floral frames around the text. Book is clean & tight. Boards have soiling, some wear & edgewear with bumped corners. The backstrip has edgewear on the top & bottom as well as a couple of small spots of wear. The gold lettering and designs on the backstrip are very bright. The leaves are in very good condition with no markings. Ships within 24 hours. Scans available upon request. Seller Inventory # 005906
