Burgundy cloth with gilt ruling and lettering on the spine. Edge wear and rubbing wear to the covers. Binding is sound. Publisher-printed bookplate (space for name is blank) on the front pastedown endpaper, with the facing blank page showing a previous owner name and an L.S.U. (Louisiana State University) book store stamp and penciled prices. Several pages with underlined passages were found. 1,353 pages. Contents include Preface to the Third Edition, Preface to the First and Second Editions, Contents page, Errata list tipped in, List of Tables, Chapters, Appendix of Sugar Tables, Author Index, and Subject Index.
