About the Author

The editors of this text are leading experts from Moscow State Universitys Institute of Mechanics as well as Russias Kurchatov Institute, which is often compared to Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Gorimir G. Chernyi is a scientific advisor at the Institute of Mechanics and a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Losev heads the AVAGADRO Laboratory. Sergey O. Macheret studied in the former Soviet Union and is now a research scientist and lecturer in the Department of Engineering of Princeton University in New Jersey. B.V. Potapkin heads the Theoretical Research Laboratory at Russias Kurchatov Institute.
