Offering this well-preserved piece of early Boy Scouts of America (BSA) history: an original May 1933 edition of the Physical Development merit badge pamphlet, published in New York. This booklet was printed during a major historical transition era for BSA literature and features the printer's code " 1M-May, 1933, " confirming it was part of a strict, low-volume run of only 1,000 total copies. The text and numerous illustrations provide a historical window into the early 20th-century "Physical Culture" movement, detailing legacy requirements like traditional medicine ball routines, posture charts, and 18-foot legless rope climbs. Overall condition is Very Good. The tan wrapper with color illustration and text remain clear, with only mild wear and age toning. There is faint penciling markings on the back. The spine is firmly intact, original staples present though they have rust. The interior has a couple of stray spots, else they are clean and unmarked, with light, even age toning. A nice vintage scout booklet.…
