Old dogs may have trouble with new tricks, but now canine brainiacs can use the laws of physics to master their corner of the universe. Complete with technical illustrations, graphs, and formulas, this book shows dogs how to:
- Bring down the mailman with the correct ratio of stealth and brute force
- Poop strategically—indoors and out—by understanding variable-mass systems
- Open any cupboard with Newton's First Law
- Play fetch by calculating velocity and maximum range
- Catch squirrels by accounting for friction, weight, and air resistance
- And much, much more!

About the Author
John-Andrew Sandbrook is a senior mathematical sciences and computer science major at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. As a lifelong dog owner, he's seen his fair share of food-sneaking, revenge-taking, and chair-warming.
Dara Flynn, MS received her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and her Master of Science in Materials Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The proud owner of a physics-ally inclined Doberman, Flynn has survived many of these scenarios on the wrong side of a clever canine. From several strategic puking incidents and a laughable attempt at a sled pull to valiant conquests of ants and cowardly shivers at the smallest sign of thunder, Flynn observed and conducted countless dog-years of field experiments and lab trials before undertaking coauthorship of this book.
