Although almost 80 years old, this book presents physical principles very clearly, and with helpful and often charming drawings by Ruth C. Schmidt. The first edition was published in 1943. This 1946 edition includes new chapters about radar (just having come into use during the war) and "Atomic Energy in War and Peace", written by Ralph Johnson. Rose-colored cloth boards with faded gilt title on spine. A few faint pencil marks, but otherwise the pages are clean and the binding tight.
