Picayune Creole Cook Book Tenth Edition

1945 Tenth Edition of this iconic cook book. Creole recipes are just as good now as they were then. Probably better since ingredients can be had so easily. Forest green buckram cover has some shelf wear, but book is fully intact. Has a gift inscription on front end paper dated 1947. First few pages are coming loose from its spine and there is some old discolored tape on the title page. Nice color lithograph frontispiece of Mammy in her Creole Kitchen. Oh my gosh! The sauce section is amazing. You know and I know, it's all in the sauce. So many different kinds of fritters - my mouth is watering. And entire menus that reference the 438 pages of recipes. Interior is pretty clean with no writing; some discoloration on the page edges. (BR) Shelf 195.
