Publisher's red cloth over thick card, black lettering to the spine and boards (binding slightly rubbed and stained, top edge somewhat stained). Ward Lock travel guides, or Red Guides (1870s-1970s), were tourist guide books to the British Isles and continental Europe published by Ward, Lock & Co. of London. The 59th edition of the guide to London included four folding plans in colour, two double-page plans, and numerous illustrations. The first owner pasted in a Railways Diagram of Lines (January 1953). A good copy.
