Pictorial Knowledge (vols I - VII)

Newnes' Pictorial Knowledge books (vols. I-VII). Promoted as an 'Educational Treasury and Children's Dictionary.' Each book except the last one features a folding model - see image. The following comments are based on the first volume but can be taken to apply more or less to all of the books - as the typography is standard and their condition is fairly similar. Olive green leather/cloth - half board. Appealingly patterned use of gilt along spine for titles and bands. A little rubbed and faded in places. Internally, the book is mild to moderately tanned with occasional spotting - most evident on the preliminary and final pages. Vol I pagination is: viii, 384/8vo(imperial octavo).
