Printed in Philadelphia by Lindsay and Blakiston. 1846, 208 pp, 7.5 x 5 , 8vo, hardcover decorative gilt cloth. In good condition, with superficial rubbing and wear to exterior. Light loss to head of spine. Light wear to hinges around front and rear. Text block remains bound well with light wear. Small instances of markings and marginalia. Includes a handful of black-and-white engravings throughout. Light staining remnants around interior of spine. Some chipping and loss to end papers at front and rear. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A nice copy designed for younger readers on the life of Benjamin Franklin. Includes a beautiful gilt illustration on the front board of one of his kite experiments. COLU1846AFHB.
