Marr, engraved title-page with vignette illustration, and 9 wood-engraved vignettes, each at the head of a chapter, some foxing to engraved titles due to paper quality. HARDCOVER, uniformly bound in the original publisher's full cloth, delicately blind embossed with floral motif, decorative lettering-piece to each spine bit rubbed, cloth bit discoloured, minute bump to a lower corner. Overall an attractive set in a very good condition. ~ Second edition, first published in 1830. Robert Mudie (1777-1842). In 1829 he published "The Picture of Australia" (London, Whittaker, Treacher, & Co.). The present survey of India is "intended to furnish a general sketch of the country, as well to those who are to visit it, who are in it, or have returned, as to those who merely wish for information".
