A sort of profusely illustrated compendium of articles designed for older children on subjects ranging from astronomy to geography to history to zoology. This is a massive volume of 1030 pages including the index. This spine of this copy is cracked but all pages are still firmly bound in. A few pages have fingerprints or smudges but the vast majority are clean and undamaged. Slight soiling and a few spots to exterior covers. Rub wear to edges and seams but no fraying or exposed boards. Still a very interesting and entertaining copy. It will be bubble-wrapped and carefully packed in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit.
