Item description from seller

A fascinating account of the surroundings of the River Thames, richly illustrated with wood cuts. An excellent account of the River Thames estuary, including detail on Richmond, Windsor and Hampton Court Palace.Written by Irish humourist and poet John Fisher Murray (1811-1865).Illustrated with over one hundred wood engravings by Orbin Smith et al.Rebound preserving the original cloth.A fascinating topographical account of many areas along the River Thames. Rebacked, with the original cloth boards and spine preserved. Externally generally smart; original cloth is rather discoloured and worn in places. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are just a touch age-toned to the edges, but otherwise clean. Good.
