The gray cloth cloth covered boards have black lettering on the front cover and spine and an image of a pilgrim in black on the front cover. There is a bit of wear to the spine ends and the bottom corners appear to be bumped. The top corners, however, appear to be sharp. There are 136 pages to the play and three pages at the back of the book with advertisements. There are eight black-and-white photographic images, an poems by Edwin Arlington Robinson, Robert Frost, Hermann Hagedorn, and Josephine Preston Peabody. Music was specially composed by George W. Chadwick, Chalmers Clifton, F. S. Converse, Arthur Foote, Edward Burlingame-Hill, Henry F. Gilbert, Edgar Stillman-Kelley, Lee Sowerby and John Powell. This volume has a book plate from a couple, Spruill and Sue Cook, who operated the "Cook's School of Speech and Dance" in Texas and the husband taught at Navarro Junior College affixed to the front paste down. The decorated dust jacket has some paper loss at the top and bottom of the spine and the fold from the panels to the flaps at the top. There is also about a 3 1/2 inch tear at the fold from the front panel to the spine cover. The dust jacket is currently protected by a clear removable cover. The edges are slightly darkened.
