Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles on brown label, five raised gilt bands, six compartments with gilt decoration, rubbed top and tail. Joints good condition rubbed and worn. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition full calf leather binding, gilt initials to the front board and gilt & blind tooling to both boards, marked, rubbed and worn. Page edges good condition all blue. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition sound. Paste downs good condition marbled. End papers good condition marbled, subsequently tanned with some foxing. Title good condition tanned with some minor foxing. Pages good condition frontispiece together with illustrations throughout by Selous, and Priolo, lightly tanned throughout with minor foxing. Binding good condition attractive.
