Charles Oliver Fikes (1935-2020), who served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, at first as an aviation cadet in B-47s at Chennault AFB in 1955, and later as a B-52 pilot. He retired as a Lt. Colonel, and began a career with Eastern Airlines. He retired from Eastern in 1985. ; Documents flights taken by Lt. Col. Fikes for the Air Force during training at Spence Air Base in Moultrie, Georgia, at the Hawthorne School Aeronautics USAF Primary CON R CT School, certifications by W. L. Albright, Chief Disp. & Time Section, and W. K.
