The book is about a Pilot study effect of honey on insomnia which is one of the most common sleep disorders which are commonly characterized by difficulty in falling asleep, impairment in sleep is associated with daytime impairment distress and sleep difficulty occurs at least three times per week and has been a problem for at least one month. In the treatment of insomnia in allopathic drugs such as hypnotics and serotonin reuptake inhibitors are used which results in too many side effects. Such as tolerance and hangover which results in to effect the body rhythmic functioning. Even the use of the drug has its effect on the quality of life of the insomnia patients, whereas herbal treatment becomes safe and efficacious to respondents to disease. In the herbal treatment, many herbs are used to treat insomnia such as Valerian, Passionflower, Chamomile, and Honey. Honey is most commonly used to treat this disorder for inducing sleep. This pilot study is done to observe the safety and efficacy of Honey in insomnia patients.
