A guidebook for pilots of ships on the River Thames, either official pilots, or those piloting their own private ships. The guild of mariners had been established in the sixteenth century in response to inexperienced ship pilots on the River Thames making sailing hazardous. This guide was established for those piloting on the ships when the use of large charts was impractical.
Book has a number of fold out charts.
