Pisces with Yeast Rising: A Memoir of Passionate Journeys

Hedda Hendrix was never one to believe in the stars, even though she admits being born under a lucky one. As a Pisces, now happily married to her third Gemini, she found her literary voice at the age of 89. InPisces with Yeast Rising: A Memoir of Passionate Journey´s, Ms. Hendrix recounts the struggle to find herself, first as daughter of the co-founder of Lane Bryant in turn-of-the century New York City, then in the campaigns of Adlai Stevenson and John F. Kennedy. Finally, after three marriages, the loss of her only son (the award-winning screenwriter of King of Comedy), the high-profile world of public relations and literary symposiums, she emerges as a writer and communicator. The search for her own creativity begins with an exploration of the humble roots of her Latvian immigrant parents and continues through the social and political glamour of post-war America. From the kitchen - and beneath her share of stars - Ms. Hendrix offers her readers the true spice of life.
