The Third Edition "Considerably Enlarged and Revised" Octavo, newly bound in crimson quarter morocco and marbled paper-covered boards, raised bands, titled in gilt and with blindstamped ornaments in the compartments. xii+408 pp. Fine, bright binding; internally clean. Classic work on gardening with sections on formation of gardens, propagation, nurseries, "graffing", planting, shrubs, forest trees, rural gardening, pruning, hot-beds, raising cucumbersa nd melons, succulants ("esuculents"). herbs, fruits, flowers, etc, and a final sectin on managunbg pond fish. A very handsome example indeed.
