About the Author

George Bibel is a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of North Dakota. He is the author of Beyond the Black Box: The Forensics of Airplane Crashes and Train Wreck: The Forensics of Rail Disasters. His books have been adapted into training courses and invited lectures at leading aerospace institutions such as NASA, MIT, Boeing, Cornell, Johns Hopkins,  GE Engines and United Technologies.
