Planning Practice: Critical Perspectives from the UK provides the only comprehensive overview of contemporary planning practice in the UK. Part III focuses on how planning practice produces outcomes for the built environment in relation to housing, infrastructure, economic progress, public transport and regeneration. The book considers what it means to be a reflective practitioner in the modern planning system, the constraints and opportunities that planners face in their daily work, and the ethical and political challenges they must confront.

About the Author
Jessica Ferm is Lecturer in Planning and Urban Management and coordinator of the Bartlett School of Planning’s "Planning Practice" module. She is a practice-focused academic with research interests in the intersections between spatial planning and the economy. She is actively involved in planning in London. Prior to academia, she worked for 10 years in planning practice.
John Tomaney is Professor of Urban and Regional Planning in the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London. His work focuses on the governance of local and regional development and spatial planning and the political, social and cultural foundations of regions. Prior to this post at UCL, he was Director of the Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies at Newcastle University.

Books are usually shipped within two working days. All of our books have a 14 or 30 day no hassle money back guarantee unless stated otherwise in the book's description. Item must be returned in the exact same condition that it was received. Please kindly send any return requests or reports of defects, damage, or material differences within 7 days of receipt of your order or 30 days from the date of shipment.
If you are making a return we will need to receive the item within 30 days from the date of shipment for UK orders or 90 days from the date of shipment for international orders. If your parcel is returned by the postal service due to being unclaimed, refused, or having an undeliverable or insufficient address, we will contact you to try and resolve the issue. If this is not possible, or if we do not hear back, we will refund you the cost of your order minus the original postage paid.
