See photos for condition details. Hardcover, brown cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows minor edge and corner bumps along with light handling wear. Interior binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are toned due to age and some foxing and toning is present, with the worst being around the frontispiece. Front pastedown has previous owner's name and something written in blue pencil. Rear pastedown has the phrase " Wishbone were backbone" written in pencil. This was a reference to page 55 which has a single line underlined in pencil which reads " Some people have more wishbone than backbone". There's a lot of truth in that statement. The penciling in the underlining can be eased the erased if desired.
