Plastic Redemption

Plastic Redemption: Turning Trash into Products

They told us to put plastic in the blue bin and sleep easy.
Turns out, most of it went straight to the dump, the ocean, or someone else’s backyard.

Plastic Redemption cuts through the feel-good fluff of traditional recycling and exposes why it was never built to succeed. In its place, this book offers something far more practical — and far more powerful: upcycling. Real solutions. Real materials. Real change.

Inside, you’ll find:

• A brutal breakdown of why plastic recycling failed

• A global tour of grassroots upcycling projects — from bricks to benches to roofs

• Step-by-step thinking for turning plastic waste into usable products

• Cautionary tales, ethical flags, and hands-on advice for starting your own builds

• How a single prototype in your backyard can light the fuse for a local revolution

No greenwashing. No billion-dollar fantasies. Just heat, pressure, and purpose.

This is not a book about saving the planet. It’s a book about building a better corner of it — using the trash right at your feet.
