Reviews
Grade 2-3?A basic introduction to cards for the easy-reader set. The deck is described, and readers learn four card games and one type of solitaire. Instructions are simple and geared to this age level. Unfortunately, the illustrations of multiethnic kids are cartoon outlines, with fried-egg eyes and manic grins. Although the drawings break up the text and illustrate necessary concepts, they are singularly unappealing.?JoAnn Rees, Sunnyvale Public Library, CA
