How to Play Snooker by Rex Williams, published by Treasure Press, London, this edition from 1988. Part of the "How to Play" series, this instructional hardback covers technique for snooker, from cueing and bridges to safety play and break building, illustrated with photographs and diagrams throughout the chapters shown. The cover shows a colour photograph of a player at the table, with the title in bold red and grey bands. The spine carries the same colour scheme and title. The rear cover repeats the cover image and gives the series description, price and ISBN details. The book is a sturdy hardback with glossy pictorial boards. The corners and edges appear sound in the photographs, with only light shelf wear visible. Internally, the sample pages photographed show cream paper with clear black and white photographs and text, no foxing or staining apparent on these pages. The frontispiece carries a monochrome photograph of the author at the table.
