Undated, but dates from the early C20th. Tuck catalogue no. 259. Pictorial hardcover with 'untearable pages'. Rare book, but this is a fair copy which shows heavy signs of wear all the way through. Twenty-four pages in total, illustrated in full colour by Mabel Lucie Attwell (except for the first two and last two pages which are illustrated in black, red and white only). There are no further pages, and we are not sure whether there are any pages or endpapers missing. The covers are scratched and worn with some heavy marking to the front cover. The pages are tanned, discoloured and heavily worn and some are loose from the binding. Some pencil marking, scribbling and drawing. Some tearing and creasing to pages and there is significant fraying to the page edges. Would benefit from some conservation work.
