About this Item
A scarce transcript of part of the Assizes Roll 271, detailing the pleas of the crown for the Hundred of Swineshead and the Township of Bristol. A scarce work in the publisher's original cloth binding. Ink inscription to the verso of the front free end paper, dated 1902. A transcript of part of the nineteenth, all of the twentieth and a part of the twenty-third membranes of Assize Roll No. 271, completed with reference to Assize Roll No. 272. A fascinating piece of case law from 1221, concerning Swineshead and Bristol. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally fairly smart, though a little faded. Offsetting to the end papers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright but with the odd spot throughout. Very Good. Seller Inventory # 852M3
