Plotting Points and Position (Math for Fun)

Uses games and projects to introduce the concepts of coordinates and angles and how to find location and position

Grade 2-4?Fun games and easy-to-make projects combined with good layouts and colorful illustrations make these titles of interest to children. The instructions are generally easy to follow, though at times another step or two would have made the projects easier. For example, in telling readers to make sure a marked corner stays fixed, why not suggest tacking it down? Another drawback is that the intended audience for these titles may be slightly older than the children depicted in the photographs. However, these creative activities for academic subjects are worth adding to your collection even if they may be best directed to young readers willing to seek assistance if necessary.?Edith Ching, St. Albans School, Mt.
