Francisco de Rioja (15831659). Espa�a. Naci� en Sevilla y fue un hombre de gran erudici�n. Adem�s de poeta, tambi�n fue te�logo y jurista. De su vida se destaca su fidelidad a su mecenas el conde duque de Olivares, quien lo nombr� bibliotecario real, consejero del tribunal de la Inquisici�n, cronista de la corte en Castilla y can�nigo de la Catedral de Sevilla. Rioja comparti� el destierro con el conde duque de Olivares y, tras la muerte de �ste, se fue a Sevilla. La poes�a de Francisco de Rojas mezcla la sencillez y la naturalidad con la elegancia extrema.
