Slim 12mo. Edition of 300 numbered copies, of which this is no. 273. Publisher's green cloth, titled in gilt on front cover; portrait frontispiece; 38pp. Mild darkening to endpapers, else a fine copy. Posthumously-published collection of amateur verse by a University of Michigan undergraduate who, according to the brief introductory biographical essay, died of heat prostration before being able to return for his sophomore year. The volume was published by The Lanthorne Club, an undergraduate literary society which Steele had a role in founding.
