" Poems and Letters " by Thomas Gray , published 1863 , printed at the Chiswick Press, ( see images for overall condition) - Calf leather binding with decorative tooled spine - (title panel has come away and needs attention, see image), "bound by Riviere" stamped on inside of front marbled end papers. All edges gilt. Eton ( Prize stamp ?) bearing the name of the recipient and "Edwardus Balston ,dated 1863). Balston was headmaster at Eton between 1862- 1868. 4 photo-engravings extant. Internally reasonably clean with a little foxing throughout. Overall a fair copy.
