The Poems Of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Ed. By D. And S. Coleridge is a comprehensive English poetry collection edited by Derwent and Sara Coleridge. Published in a new edition by Edward Moxon (1854), the volume gathers Coleridge’s works from youth through later life, including juvenilia, mature lyrics, and major longer pieces, along with editor’s prefaces, notes, and contextual material that trace the poet’s artistic development. The edition presents grouping by periods (Youth, Early Manhood and Middle Life, Later Life) and includes the Sibylline Leaves and other miscellaneous pieces, such as The Ancient Mariner, Christabel, Kubla Khan, and The Destiny of Nations. It provides scholarly apparatus, a portrait, and biographical notes, reflecting the Coleridge family’s editorial efforts to present Coleridge’s poetry in a chronological frame. The work serves as a reference and anthology for readers and scholars seeking a thorough survey of Coleridge’s verse across his life, with editorial guidance intended to illuminate his stylistic evolution and thematic concerns.
