Very Good: Publisher's original cloth binding shows touches of wear to extremities, with light bumping to the corners and spine. Boards display faint surface scratching, with the most pronounced across the width of the front board, otherwise clean with sharp, well-defined gilt. Binding remains square and firm; incredibly well-preserved considering its age. Light scattered foxing throughout pastedowns and endpapers. Internally, the contents remains bright, clean and fresh. A beautifully preserved copy.

Second edition, Macmillan & Co., 1893. Original cloth-bound hardback; a scarce late 19th-century printing, seldom encountered in such well-preserved condition. Early editions of this work are increasingly difficult to source, and copies surviving in notably strong condition for their age are particularly prized by collectors of Victorian poetry.
