The Poet Of Science: And Other Addresses (1919)

The Poet of Science: And Other Addresses is a collection of lectures and speeches delivered by William North Rice in 1919. Rice was a prominent American educator, naturalist, and author who was known for his contributions to the field of education and his interest in science. The book contains a series of essays that explore the relationship between science and poetry, as well as the role of the scientist in society. Rice argues that science and poetry are intimately connected, and that scientific discovery requires the same kind of creativity and imagination as poetry. He also discusses the importance of scientific education and the need for scientists to communicate their findings to the general public. The book is a fascinating exploration of the intersection between science and the humanities, and provides insight into the mind of one of America's most influential educators and naturalists. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
