Hardcover in Very Good condition, 8vo, pages: xx,[xxi-xxii],372. 1/2 red leather over marbled boards, spine titles and decoration in gold, a.e.g., marbled end-papers. Boards rubbed, contents very good with minor tanning of leaves, tight binding. Bookseller accession no.: 25034. Thomson, 1700-1748, was a Scottish poet famous for writing the lyrics to the British patriotic song, "Rule, Britannia!", as well as for his poem series,"The Seasons", originally published separately between 1726 and 1730; and which is the first set of poems in this volume.
