In polished full calf leather fine bindings, gilt paneled boards, raised banding and full gilt decorations to spines with twin brown leather spine labels lettered in gilt. Marbled endpapers and page edges. In very good condition. Some minor rubbing to extremities and edges. Corners slightly bumped. Neat inscriptions to blank endpapers at fronts ?Percy Trower, fwith the best wishes of his friend Henry Wellesley (Lord Cowley, British Ambassador to France 1847-57) on his leaving Eton 1862.? One or two minor light spots and minor handling marks else pages all very clean, bright and tight throughout. Else very good clean and tight copy. xxvi + 300pp. The complete works of Dr. Mark Akenside. The author was one of the Physicians to Her Majesty in the reign of George III, and died in 1770.
